Last Wednesday I (Troy) went to the Belleville Tweet Up held at Boston Pizza. It was yet another example how people can gather from social media to support something they are passionate about. Around 30 people attended, ranging from business owners, to marketers to students. For a full list see the bottom of this post.

Good times were had by all, with downtown Belleville, cars, and sports being my highlights. It was also great to see people who you know on Twitter, by their little picture, in
person.

Tweet Ups are like any other networking event, where people get to socialize, have some good food and meet new people. In a world that is constantly shifting towards digital communications, they are a reminder that face-to-face contact is still a great way to meet people (and to me the most productive!).  Tweet Ups are great to show the power of social media. Another one should be around the corner soon and I hope to see you there!
