SSL E-Mail

Services

Available FREE to all Snap Design Professional E-Mail / Messaging Service subscribers.

Encrypts all transmissions between you and the Snap Design mail server using your everyday E-Mail software. Also encrypts messages through receiving mail servers that support the STARTTLS encryption protocol.*

* STARTTLS is an emerging transmission protocol that is not yet supported by most mail servers. If e-mail security important to you, your recipients can ask their ISP if they support STARTTLS. If not, invite them to open a Snap Design e-mail / messaging account!

How to Enable SSL E-Mail in Microsoft Outlook®

Similar steps apply for other e-mail software that support SSL e-mail.
    Account Setup
  1. In Outlook 2003®, open TOOLS, then ACCOUNTS
  2. Select your e-mail account
  3. Click on CHANGE...
  4. Click on MORE SETTINGS...
  5. Select the ADVANCED tab
  6. Outgoing mail (SMTP)
    - Use Port: 465
    - CHECK the box for "This server requires a secure connection"
  7. Incoming mail (POP3)
    - Use Port: 995
    - CHECK the box for "This server requires a secure connection"
  8. Click OK
  9. Click CLOSE
You're done!
Send and receive e-mail as before, now with additional security.
